A carefully crafted network of visual connections serves to unite the Fillmore community, fostering healing and dismantling cultural barriers resulting from historical redlining and redevelopment.

Central to this effort are spacious voids that function as the core of an inter-cultural center, symbolically reclaiming the community’s strength and attracting visitors to these naturally illuminated areas. Here, they are welcomed and celebrated by prominent murals of historical figures from Fillmore and by one another.
